Appearance
the most noticable thing about Ivystar is her apparent lack of a full tail. Having been born that way with the genes of a Japanese Bobtail breed, she has never lost a tail she never had. Instead, she just has a small rabbit like stump for a tail. Although it gives her a trait similar to a rabbit, she is often conflicted when she moves around, for her species was meant to run like a leopard, yet she was built like the very rabbits she hunted. This causes her to be extremely clumsy when she tries to run, and she often ends up tripping constantly, being unable yet to control her long, muscular, yet springy limbs. She is more tall then she is long with those long rabbit like legs of hers.

Ivystar’s base fur color is plain white, and she has patches of black and ginger on her back, head, and tail. The markings on her head seem to be in the shape of a hat, divided in half by black on the left side and ginger tabby on the right. In the center of her back is an area where large blotches of black and ginger patch her white fur, and striped close together on her short tail are thin patches of ginger and black.

Personality
Ivystar is more or less one of those "cool" and "mature" cats who doesn't say much. But if you pester her into talking, you'll probably just have a very annoyed cat on your hands. She doesn't like opening up to others, even those from within her clan. The only one she really has opened up to is her mentor, Gingerstar, tall, but not as tall as herself. But Ivystar’s habit of refraining from ever saying anything seriously threatens have her leading a dull life, if it weren't for her sister, the only one who can ever get her to do much of her own will and freedom. Ivystar, a loyal cat down to the last drop of warrior blood, will do everything the deputy and warriors say needs to be done, without question or comment, so she can certainly be trusted to follow orders and see to it that a job, no matter how important, gets done.

But when those of lessor rank than her, such as warriors, apprentices, kits, and even queens, try to say anything to her, you can't be sure whether she even heard them, and if she did, you can't be sure whether she's gonna consider it at all. She won't disrespect elders, but she still won't acknowledge them much, which gets her quickly on their bad side. In fact, she tends to lose friends as quickly as she gains them, not of her doing, because when others talk to her, sometimes she might just walk away with out batting an ear, leaving them still talking mid-sentence.

The few who have ever seen him smile are her mentor and younger sister, and even then she has only smiled a few times, playing with her sister or being praised by her mentor. It's hard to know what's going on in this cool she-cat's head. She's had she-cats and toms running up to her as quickly as they run away hissing, without having ever said a word or shown any emotions about it.


Biography/History
Ivystar’s birth was never planned and quite a surprise to everyone in her clan, because her parents Larkpool and Berrystripe were older warriors when she was born to them. They were close to retirement when Larkpool found out she was pregnant. Larkpool was clearly shocked because she never though she could have kits. Larkpool and Berrystripe had tried for many seasons without any success, then suddenly it happened. They were both so excited when they got the news of the upcoming birth, that Larkpool moved immediately to the nursery to start her laying in. She was determined to have her kits. Berrystripe went to visit his mate everyday. He always brought her treats that she loved.

Ivykit was born on a cool, starry night with the moon shining bright in the sky in New-Leaf. Larkpool had been in labor since sundown and Berrystripe was so nervous that he was starting to tearing her nest apart. Finally, with the last of her strength, Larkpool gave birth to a single kit; a she-cat. She was so beautiful and perfect in their eyes that they loved her instantly. All of their love that they had for each other shown in their new daughter. Her pelt was white and pale grey like her mothers, but Ivykit had more white than her mother had. She looked so graceful and beautiful like a swan. But they named her Ivykit.

Ivystar had a wonderful, normal beginning to her kithood. She was the center of her parents lives and she couldn't have asked for more. She loved them more than anything in the word. When mother got sick from a bad greencough when she was just four moons old, she never left her mother's side despite the urgency from the medicine cat for her health. Ivykit didn't care, she wanted her be by her mother. It feel the closeness one last time, but Larkpool's sickness was too advanced to be saved. It crushed her deeply to lose her mother at such a young age but she had to stay strong for her father. Ivykit was forced to be raised by a foster mother, but she could never replace her real mother. Berrystripe never took another mate, but just spent time with his daughter.

A few days before Ivykit was to be made into an apprentice, her father was killed from an adder bite while out on a patrol. Berrystripe was her last known link to her family. Ivykit had no other known family, at all. She was all alone in the world. All she had left was AshClan to devote her time and energy too. She was mentored by the wise old leader of AshClan named Gingerstar. They quickly became great friends and in no time at all, he trained Ivypaw to work very hard for what she wanted and in doing so she made a warrior quickly at twelve moons. She was graced with the warrior name Ivymist, to signify her beauty and soft features.

As a young warrior, she developed her skills even more as a warrior and though at a young age then most, she was made deputy of AshClan. For the old deputy had retired as an elder because of blindness. Ivymist was really shocked to be made deputy at such a young age when there were more experienced warriors who would be a better choice. Though very flattered by the honor, Ivymis went to ask Gingerstar why he would do such a thing to make her deputy. Gingerstar smiled softly at his old apprentice and calmly explained to her the reason behind why he did it. He told her that when she was his apprentice, he saw something in her that he couldn't teach her. It was something special that she was born with it and he felt it was something AshClan desperately needed. He also confined in Ivymist his deep secret; he was on his last life. She knew what that meant, when his last life was up she would be leader of AshClan.

Ivymist was Gingerstar’s deputy for a little over six moons when Gingerstar started to get sick. It was like losing her parents all over again, she became depressed and would withdraw herself from Clan life, though she still gave duties to the warriors and apprentices. Ivymist knew it was only a matter of time before she lost Gingerstar too. When Gingerstar finally joined the ranks of StarClan, Ivymist was completely broken. The only comfort Ivymist got was when she went to Moonpool, she was reunited with her parents and Gingerstar. Finally, before all of StarClan she was made into Ivystar, a cat who was destined for greatness.
