Ashclan Camp

Surrounded by some kind of water on all sides, Ashclan camp is essentially a little island. Kits learn to swim here from a young age in the shallows of the bit of Salmon Stream that wraps around it, and cats sit among the cattails and are sometimes able to catch fish from the comfort of camp, though it's encouraged to go out and find the places where more fish gather. Ashclan cats usually sleep in soft nests made of moss out in the open, and when it rains they have one large backup den made of reeds that medicine cats usually use. The large den usually helps provide body warmth for cats in the cold rain. There is a large stepping stone over one of the streams that juts out over the camp, which leaders climb to hold clan meetings. Soft earth and flat grasses grow in camp, always slightly moist.

Rainsong woke up at the break of dawn to squabbling birds. She stepped over sleeping cats and headed out to assign patrols and grab a piece of prey.
