Prologue--The Beginning of the Current State

The clans are young.

Just two or three suns ago, the cats of the Falls came together into five clans-- and things are running smoothly so far. The code, the ceremonies, everything. Starclan has welcomed you into their domain. The clans have had minor skirmishes, but nothing of consequence and they were quickly resolved. Everything has been relatively peaceful and tranquil, and the Falls have run without much interference.
The cats of Twolegplace are wary of the defensive clan cats, but accepting. After all, your existence isn't hurting them, right?
It is the season of green-leaf. The clans are prospering in the summer heat, with prey being plentiful, and Cherryclan's intoxicating grove of cherry blossoms is in full bloom and their scent reaches all the way to Ashclan somehow. The half-moon is approaching, and medicine cats are making preparations to visit Starclan once again.
With sweet cherry blossom scent on the air, you'd think trouble in the winds could be impossible. But you'd be surprised.
